The wool section at this year’s show concentrates on flock sheep classes, rewarding both local peninsula wool growers, and those from farther afield, as they improve their clip.
As usual, the wool section has a wide range of classes and offers good prizes and generous vouchers for those fleeces gifted to the show. Mainland Wool NZ and Cavalier Bremworth are the generous sponsors of this section.
This years premier competition is for the most commercially valuable fleece coming from a commercial flock. This breadth of the class enables many breeds to be judged against each other, so we anticipate a very strong competition amongst the growers.
With a $500 cash prize up for grabs thanks to Cavalier Bremworth it’s sure to be hotly contested.
